Join the annual 4th of July celebration Friday – the day before Independence Day! Get started early, get some exercise and have a blast! Kick off America’s 250th birthday with a 4 mile jaunt through beautiful Kinnakeet Shores in Avon. There is a 1776 (foot) dash for the little ones!! 

All registered runners receive an eco-friendly cup for use on the course, icy cold towel at the finish, a finisher’s medal, a performance t-shirt and post race party!

It get better! the B.I.G. mission is to help support local non-profits Hatteras Island Meals, Hatteras Island CERT Team and Chicamacomico Station… have a great time while helping your community!!! Also we’ll be helping Mighty Milly, a local 6 year old who is battling B Cell Leukemia. You can support all of these beneficiaries on the donation link.
