It was a very hot, steamy day. There were only 5 water stops. 1.5, 3, 6.5, 10, 11.5. There was no ice, no gatorade, no gels, no medical tents. This … MORE
It was a very hot, steamy day. There were only 5 water stops. 1.5, 3, 6.5, 10, 11.5. There was no ice, no gatorade, no gels, no medical tents. This race, was in my opinion, actualy dangerous, with the heat and NO support on the course. The water stops only had hot water bottles (from sitting out in the sun). At the finish, there was also hot water. no food at the finish. the only food was pulled pork and potatoe salad. not exactly what i want after a grueling 13.1 mile race in the heat. pathetic.
