Organizers knew 3 days ahead of time atmospheric river was going to hit accompanied by gale force winds. They changed the course from a beautiful run through GG park to up & down the great highway where sand from the beach was sure to pelt runners along with the rain & cancelled the post run festivities. They did offer runners to change to a virtual race, which to many, is simply not an option. Refused to allow runners to defer. Had they cancelled even as late as 6 AM the morning of it would have at least saved people the time & effort to get to the starting line.
