What an intense course. Even as an experienced runner, I had a rough time with the down hill and then the immediate intense uphill afterwards around mile 6-7. There were hills throughout the course, even at the finish line. I also did not enjoy basically running in a neighborhood the last few miles, when I heard the name North Shore Classic, I would have thought the course would’ve been a lot more towards the lake. Besides that, it was decently ran and the medal & swag was solid.

No wonder why it was voted number 1 marathon in USA Today. The crowd support in all of the races was phenomenal. The expo was very well set up, along with the races. I am so happy I ran my first half at the Pig, I will be back next year 100%!
