The course has changed and now starts at the City Hall in Redmond instead of the Red Hook Brewery in Woodinville. It is a fairly easy run, but I say that because I run the same trail everyday. Most everyone is in pirate costume, which makes the race take on a festive air. The fall colors are just beautiful. Nice race for an enjoyable day with the family. The production is well done by Orca Running.

Incredible run . Lots of space on the trail. The views down the ravines were gorgeous. Even though it was August, it was rainy and cold. I’ve heard it can be hot, but this was not my experience! The road is not paved at all. The trail was well marked and there were plenty of aid stations.

This is a beautiful, scenic course that goes through the woods. Thinking it was paved was my mistake. Most of the course, while fairly flat is unpaved gravel. Taught me not to use my barefoot shoes, but to get trail shoes that could handle the rocks .
