Terribly organized. The route was 13.4 miles long. Also they ran out of water at aid stations. They also changed the course last minute. It was crazy. They had kids … MORE
Terribly organized. The route was 13.4 miles long. Also they ran out of water at aid stations. They also changed the course last minute. It was crazy. They had kids organizing it who had no idea what they were doing. They forgot to make Gatorade into liquid. So they had powders. What am I supposed to do? Make it while I am running or inhale the powder? Also the air stations didn’t even have any volunteers for the first half of the race. I regret not getting my own water.

It was so well organized. Too bad Suwanee creek park flooded and we had to do an out and back instead of a nice loop. This made things harder as we had to go uphill on some crazy hills. The one coming up Georg Pierce onto Buford killed me. So steep. But it was my first ever half marathon and I loved how well organized it was. Also great swag and the medal is awesome. They gave us a blanket at the end which was tremendous. I loved it.
Also the photographers were top notch. Look at my action shot finish. Loved it and will run it every year now.
