While my performance was not what I hoped, as usual the Flying Pig puts on a great event. Expo, race day and post race party are all top notch. Love the finish on Mehring Way along the Ohio River. You go right from the race into a great post race celebration. Course support and fans all along the entire course really give you the boost you need when you need it. Highly recommended.

This is an awful race. Little or no course support, they only care about raising money and not putting on a quality event. I wish they would have a better course. Course is on Columbia Parkway with rolling hills and not great scenery.

Once again the Flying Pig put on a great event. Due to some scheduling conflicts the start and finish lines were adjusted from previous years but the course was essentially the same. That being said the finish area was much improved over past years, I hope they keep it. I really liked the finishers jacket you received at the end.

No scenery, no crowd support, nothing but rolling hills with a difficult unnecessary hill climb around mile 6. This event is more worried about raising money for the American Heart Association than putting on a good event. Medal was awful and you had to hunt for a post race bottle of water with no bananas etc.

While I didn’t meet my goals this is still a great race. The race support and the crowds are great. There were some slight changes to the course this year due to some road construction projects but these were not negatives. Great expo, great swag and the best race.

This was a tough race. There was a problem in that there was a Government shutdown so we had to run an alternate course that I was not prepared for. In no way was this the race directors fault. The race organization did a great job in coming up with an alternate when we couldn’t run the National Parks. I hope to go back and redeem myself on this one.

This was my first so I didn’t know what to expect. Great swag. Water every mile or so and great crowd support the whole course. There was a little dry area between 18-20 miles on a road with not much crowd or shade. Overall my favorite marathon.
