This race was well organized! The expo was fantastic – I loved all the spots to take pictures and how they carried the theme with all the decorations. I really enjoyed all of the support along the race course. Each mile there was an organization handing out snacks or drinks, and people cheering all along the way. The ONLY negative part I would say was the color of the t-shirt this year, but I am definitely wanting to do this race again!!

The scenery was unbelievable on this race, it was all country and we ran past numerous horse farms. The hills were tough, the entire course is up and down hills! I loved the theme of the race, dedicating the race to a specific horse and then having that jockey at the packet pickup. It was a great experience! I just wish I pre-ordered the bourbon!

The organizers did a great job with this race! The communication and signage was excellent. The course itself had some rolling hills and lined with trees.
Parking was a little tricky, as there were a ton of smaller parking lots. The finish line was a lot of fun with the beautiful area surrounded by small ponds. I liked that the medal has the state of Texas on there.
