I am going to start by saying that I am not a trail runner. The first 5 miles are trail through the beautiful desert. The views were breathtaking 😍. I found this course to be difficult but so worth it! I would recommend any race that Vacation Races puts on because they are amazing! I also volunteered to work the finish line for the first day of the race and the staff for VR made me feel like part of the family. If you are looking to become a part of an awesome running community with scenery that will blow your mind, this is the race for you! VR you rock and I hope to run this course again (even if it did kick my butt).
