4. if you are into running races that are peaceful, aren’t too crowded and runs by farmland and scenic areas, this is one such race.

Gorgeous scenery, Wonderful hilly race course, volunteers, the post race cinnamon rolls and ice cream and top notch organizing by laz, Steve Durbin. Loved the little messages on the road, was well marked, the aid stations had plenty of water.

Awesome course, RDs, swag, volunteers. Challenging hilly course but the scenery and the RDs make it well worth it. Plenty of photo ops for those who like those type of things too. If you are into bourbon and horses, there’s plenty of tours that are organized as well.

The double marathon that they organize is quite unique and has a scenic route, extremely supportive race directors, volunteers who are around from 1am till the finish way past 1pm. The course is well marked, plenty of well stocked aid stations, belt buckle for the finishers. Roanoke as a city is a wonderful place to visit and the people are very welcoming and friendly as well
