Small, low-key race on paved roads around Sauvie Island. Lots of food at the start and finish. I was lucky it was overcast and cool; on a hot, sunny day there is literally no shade. If driving, give yourself plenty of time to get on the island before the race starts.

Not as flat at the race promotes, but definitely no large hills. Enthusiastic spectators and volunteers with awesome race support. The expo and pasta dinner were a lot of fun. Stay in a hotel served by the race busses to make getting to and from the race easy.
