Great transportation of runners, then of family in this beautiful area. Nice mostly downhill course with water, hydration fueling, and portables with sufficient availability along the course. Loved the support to get spectators to the finish line given limited parking availability. Great runner support.

I signed up with friends using VIP program and found the program to be very unresponsive to multiple requests about some of the VIP “benefits.”
–no training program given
–no access to VIP Facebook group (9 requests)
–no response from race management to requests regarding VIP program. Save your money! Use conventional sign up
–need double portable toilets at first 3 water stops, at least — LONG LINES: waited over 7 minutes at aid station 3 because by then, my hydration plan was obviously working well!
The good:
Did this with friends
The VIP bus to the start was warm, special waiting area
Knew we were IN the race with the sign up
The volunteers were fantastic at every aid station
The course was beautiful and fun, hills were nice. The camber of the road (the pitch) sometimes a challenge; stimulating
