Good parts of this race are:
– Very nice scenery
– Good support
– Well organized (during the race there are many who were cheering and encouraging the runners as well as guiding)
– Enough water/nuun breaks
– Shuttles to and fro to/from the starting point/ending point were good
– After run care was good like icing, and medical care
Cons:
– Weather is tricky (I know this in organizer’s control but just mentioning this if this is a factor in your decision to run this race). Lot of rain was expected but luckily, it rained only for a short time and it was windy only during that time.
– Hope they can provide gu for the race. They do supply nuun (electrolytes) but gu is a standard one for almost all the 1/2 marathons I have done.
– Hope they can provide tech t-shirts. Cotton t-shirt is nice but for $70+ registration, tech tshirt should be provided.
Overall, glad I did this race and may do it again next year.
