Great flat and visually appealing course. Good warm up for the Long Beach marathon/half coming up in October. Race started 20-25minutes late 🙁 this was very annoying as the temperature was rising. Bib pick up was understaffed. Did not like the words “Official Attempt” on the back of the tech shirt. Nice small expo. Good snacks from Bimbo. This was my second year doing this event.

Flat course. Really enjoyed the casual start. Cheering groups in the less visually enticing areas 🙂 Good course support, take your own snacks. Small but nice expo. Easy bib pick up, would like to see pick up until 7pm. Parking was a bit challenging. Host hotel was not prepared with rooms.

Running through the fairgrounds is fun. Great photo opportunities, and if you choose games on course. Characters were on course for photos. Course is wide enough to not have most of the strollers hit your ankles or trip you up. Get into the fair for free 🙂

This race needs to have longer hours to pick up the race bib at least until 7pm on Saturday. You have to fight city traffic, pay for parking (very expensive at the Convention Center). End of race is in a very small crowded area, hand people a plastic bag and encourage them to keep moving to the post race event. Getting to the start line you need to take a bus, trolley, cab etc. No course nourishment (they ran out), did they forget how many people signed up??? On a better note the cheering groups and music throughout the course was great.
