Abt 4400 people this year from race results! Additions this year were new corral start, tracking system, screen at finish to watch runners, new expo location – again this year was the epic swag bag, the hill, and the support!

Course: Decent hill around mile 2 and save some energy for the last couple of miles that are gently sloped uphill plus a big hill and another decent hill in the last mile- my miles were pretty even for mile 1-10 and then my pace slowed until the finish

Scenery: Start in the cute downtown square (fountain, restaurants and shops- donโ€™t miss Spark for ice cream, Onyx for coffee or Ozark Bagel for a โ€ฆ. Bagel), run through neighborhoods, downtown housing, part of their Greenway trail next to some streams and up the Flyover hill near Crystal Bridges to finish back at the square

Production: Good amount of water/gatorade tables, bathroom stops, traffic support and neighborhood support; this year they had a jumbo screen in the square near the finish that showed runners one mile out and at the finish line which was cool; Expo is great and organized & Swag bag is full (snacks, runner tape, headband, coupons), 3 corral start this year, finish line to get medal is a little packed bc of the small space, at the end was medal, water, chocolate milk, pizza and Chic-fil-a biscuits

Swag: Medal was cool this year – big with a star spinner showing all of the landmarks we ran though, running t-shirt and running long sleeve with hoodie at finish, didnโ€™t love the design this year but thatโ€™s preference

Other things to do in town: Crystal Bridges Art Museum (outdoor trails, free), Meld Sandwich Shop, Wrights BBQ, Coler Bike Trail w Coffee Shop, shop around downtown Bentonville/Rogers, visit WalMart Campus for restaurants and trail, etc!

Stayed at the Residence Inn downtown which was a great spot for walking to and from the start/finish and just a short walk to the Expo. The Expo had some photo ops including a gif maker, some electrolyte samples and a robot that drew a character of you running the race. The start corrals were well organized, confetti at the start was fun and there were a lot of support tables along the way- a good portion with alcohol but I was looking for H2O. The scenery was great- stated through nice neighborhoods, ran past the river and saw a few Route66 signs at the end. A couple of spots had live music w a band and a saxophone player. Overall fun atmosphere! I will say there were more hills than I expected, especially through the neighborhoods. Race ended with pizza, water and fruit, live music, and massages. The medal was cute but chipped super easily, both were chipped by the time we got back to the hotel. The swag was great- a lightweight embroidered puffer jacket that I definitely prefer over a race tee! Would do it again!

Thought the shirt and medal were really cool this year! For the 10K, the course was through neighborhoods so there wasnโ€™t a lot of scenery outside of plenty of people cheering from their porches. Plenty of bathrooms before and during the race. Two water stations for the 10K. The race was well organized and the course was flat making for a pretty easy experience. I heard the half marathon ran past some of the downtown area which could have been neat. My biggest critique would be that the 10K was 6.4 miles so over if youโ€™re going for a specific time. Afterwards there was some music and a couple of tents, bananas, pretzels, water and donuts from a local shop. Overall it was a good experience.

Easy parking, friendly volunteers and overall easy to navigate. The guys MC-ing and the guy in the cow costume were great – the cow danced on a hay bale for the runners for 3 hours! The actual course was not my favorite as it was an out and back without much shade and I was hot by the end from just the 5K. Maybe moving the race up a month to April would help? I didn’t personally prefer the shirt this year but really liked the medal! After the race, there’s a huge buffet which was fun – I grabbed some pasta salad, fruit, snacks, and a biscuit and gravy – but there was plenty more. And there were two VERY cute cows at the end to take pics with.

Great expo & swag bag (included a Junk headband, pen, lots of snacks and sample products). The race had to be moved to Sun this year bc of weather; however race day weather turned out to be great. Several support stations and supporters out on the course and bathrooms. Course starts off in Downtown, goes through some neighborhoods, down a trail with a small waterfall and ends going through the paved trail by Crystal Bridges. Save some juice for the end bc there are a couple of big hills before the end! The medal for the 15th anniversary was huge and there was a t-shirt & a finisher hoodie + pizza at the end. Lots of great restaurants and things to see in Bentonville so would make a great weekend trip.
