Big Sur lives up to all the hype and more. Such a challenging course, but if you’re a true marathoner through and through you will LOVE it! We did not have the best weather in 2025 but it was still an incredible experience. Top notch organization and the scenery is breathtaking. The hills and canted roads make for a tough race, especially the two mile hill up Hurricane Point from miles 10-12. I fell in with a pace group at that point who were taking walk breaks every so often. Excellent strategy! Although the wind and rain were in my face the whole two mile climb, I’m pretty sure I was smiling the whole time because it was simply exhilarating. The rollers at the end felt even tougher. I hope I’m lucky enough to run Big Sur again someday. It was a dream come true! And I raised over $5000 for the Parkinson’s foundation. ☺️

Such a well-organized race in the cutest small New Hampshire town of Keene. We flew into Boston, fairly easy drive to Keene, and stayed at an AirBNB that was less than a mile from the start and finish. The first part of the course is mostly downhill with beautiful trees along a quiet rural highway. Once you get closer to Keene, you run through some neighborhoods and a cemetery. Awesome finish line and overall well-supported course. I went to the pasta dinner the night before the race. They have a guest speaker every year and Bobbi Gibb was the speaker in 2024! Lovely small town race that I would enjoy running again!

Columbus is an excellent race to get a PR. Overall very flat with a few small hills. The Nationwide Children’s patients and their families at every mile are very inspiring. My second time running this course. All the starts aligned and got my dream BQ on a perfect fall day. Well-organized and supported. If you’re traveling from out of town, very easy to find a hotel within walking distance. If I was not from Ohio, I would pick this one as my Ohio race!

Indy is a great marathon from top to bottom, especially if you’re trying to PR or BQ. The flattest course I’ve ever run. Well-organized and supported, as close to hotels as you can get, nice scenery for a full city marathon. Good pacing groups. Super cool medal and nice shirt. Highly recommend!

Really loved this one! The finish line is the best part in the Marshall football stadium! They throw you a football shorty before you cross the finish line. Double loop course for the full marathon which I liked. Quiet course with not much crowd support but that allowed me to focus and get a PR.
