This was my 3rd marathon overall, but first in San Francisco even though I live here. My first marathon was in New York, and my second was in Chicago, so I had fairly high expectations for running this marathon in my hometown. What a colossal disappointment. I second everything Kevin stated below, and I’m just so shocked at the lack of support this city has for runners. This race made me not want to run any other race in San Francisco again, half or otherwise. I feel like we were all a huge inconvenience to drivers and residents of the city, and that’s not how it should be at all!
