What a fun, challenging race! While the rain made the trail a bit like chocolate pudding in some areas, this was so much fun. The 3+ mile climb to the summit is brutal; however, had a blast letting the wheels spin on the flats and downhills. Running around the mountain to climb the summit a second time was energizing, and the descent to the finish after the West Summit was so much fun. Course was well-marked, and loved the snacks at the finish (the Lays Potato Chips were a winner for me). I like the wooden finisher swag, and the crew hosting the event is always very friendly and encouraging! Loving these Evergreen races!

This was such a fun race from start to finish! Everything leading up to the event was very clear – loved having the option to purchase (or not purchase) event merchandise, great pre-race communication, and the COVID-friendly starting setup was flawless. The course (although slick in a lot of places with thick mud) perfectly suited our trail running tastes. Hills, super fast sections, nothing crazy technical, and all very runnable. Running up Lord Hill at the beginning was an exciting challenge! All of the staff and volunteers were friendly and encouraging, making for a great atmosphere and a very low-stress event. Honestly, I don’t have anything negative to say about this event – it was fantastic and I had a blast!
