After last year, I will never run in another Runtastic event again. The experience was unbelievably bad. The organizers failed in every way imaginable. Parking was so bad that literally hundreds of vehicles that had paid for the race gave up left for home. Paid-for items like carnival tickets were never delivered. The runs started late. There was no headless horseman. The event staff on course turned runners the wrong way, resulting in many faster runners completing a 14.5 mile “half marathon”. A late start to the half marathon resulted in many 5K runners starting at the wrong time and not getting the race they paid for. The timing system mats at the start did not work at all, resulting in hundreds of runners having no chip times. Results included hundreds of entries with missing names or bogus entry categories, making it impossible to tell even how you compared by gun time. Awards ceremony had to be stopped abruptly when it became clear that the organizers had no way to know who won any of the categories. Everything about the 2018 event was unprofessional and a rip-off of our money. NEVER AGAIN!
