Bad news arrived 11 hours prior race start: the organization decided to change the routes for all distances (10,21 and 50 km). The main attraction (Cerro Pelado) will no longer be available and they knew about the restriction to run over there fo days prior the race; but should know better if the planning was done properly.
Of course you can not create a new race in a rush and several (4) ultra runners got lost and ran 12 km in a wrong direction. Overall the event was a failure and lost of runners didn’t showed up once they knew about the changes.
The name of the race of “Vulcan” because it is ran on an old volcano. No volcano No Race.
