The Coast Guard – the expo, opening ceremony, and after party were all organized beautifully and everyone was so helpful. Great job, Coasties!
The Course – I ran my personal best here the course was flat and scenic for most of it. My favorite parts was running through the neighborhoods by the water during the first couple miles and running down the flight line on the Coast Guard Base. My one gripe is there is a hairpin turnaround somewhere on the back half of the race (I don’t remember the exact mileage). I hope they can adjust that in future years because I had to almost come to a complete stop.
Swag – the medal was very unique and I love it. I also got a fantastic long sleeve shirt that I love. I do wish they had more apparel options, especially hats.
