Virginia Wine Country Half Marathon
The Expo was very small, but the volunteers were friendly. The shirts are absolutely adorable, but I wish they were technical/dry-fit. A lot of the course was on gravel roads … MORE
The Expo was very small, but the volunteers were friendly. The shirts are absolutely adorable, but I wish they were technical/dry-fit. A lot of the course was on gravel roads and it was pretty hilly, which made it challenging. The scenery was beautiful, though! The mile markers had cute rhymes on them about wine 🙂 I love the medal (it holds a wine glass!), but my boyfriend ran the 5k and was bummed that everyone got the same medal and it didn’t say 5k on it. There was a wine festival after the race and you could purchase a wine glass for unlimited tastings from 9:30AM-12PM. The lines for tastings were really long and we ended up just leaving an hour before it was over. Overall, it was a fun race and I would do it again!
