This race starts downtown, really easy access from hotel to start line. You take off to suburbs miles 3-8 are in a historic neighborhood with beautiful homes – lots of significant hills in this area. Support was great, lots of bikes and support baskets offering gels, goo, biofeeeze, like anything it was really great to not have to stop at an aid station. Second half is really interesting – you run through Drake stadium one lap on the track. Then out on some nicely paved even trails. Less spectators during this section but worth the peace and quiet for the views and fall colors. Loop around a pond, over some really cool bridges (one wooden). Kept the race really interesting. Flat finish into downtown.
