This was honestly the most beautiful course I have ever run. So many iconic Chicago sights and sounds along the way, the museums, the lake, McCormick Place, the park. This one will be tough to beat. I thought the entire thing was well done from start to finish. I personally thought it was quite flat, but I am from Boston and train on hills. I like there to be a tiny bit of variety to keep it interesting, and there was just enough. I had my packet mailed and did the VIP thing, which I loved. Free post race massage and mimosas in a relaxed private area, with no bathroom lines? Since I was traveling for this, totally worth it for me. I thought this was a bucket list race that I might not repeat, but loved it so much, I will be back!
