Surprising 2nd place finish very happy! Feels downhill overall skipped the stations at 4&7 bc I ran w a pack. One snake on the road was easy to avoid. Thanks to Ret Senior Chief Brian Heldrith for the race! Started w National Anthem and had the Burros HS XC team aiding the race! Thanks!

Aid stations great until last 10 miles ran out of water with two 15oz bottles as the temps were rising and the wear on my body of the first grueling 10 mile incline to 5,200 ft set in. Definitely need a negative split run for this one. Ultra rated.

Fun and great scenery with large turnout lots of spectators to see the hot air balloon lift offs very colorful and great atmosphere there. 6,200 ft elevation makes for a challenging pace!
