They get an A plus for bathrooms at the start line and along the course!! Water stops were also excellent & often. It was a cool rainy day but despite the weather there were so many people out cheering on the course. There is a significant hill around mile 12 that is at least a mile and a half long…but the view was worth the climb! Also it’s a flat course with a slight incline the whole way…you will feel this afterward 😂
Very well run race, great communication, bus ride to the start was easy to get to & it was pretty quick.

Toward the end of the race there’s a lot of turns and weaving through the half marathoners…I didn’t love this part but was also in the zone to just finish my race.

Missoula is beautiful…we drove to Glacier National Park on Saturday and enjoyed the beautiful scenery there too!! Definitely one to add to your list!

It’s very flat except at the end when you run up an on ramp (against the 25 mph wind) along the coast so pretty views. Great water stops with porta potties at each. Not great crowd support if you need that.
The VIP experience is definitely not worth the money
You end in the baseball stadium which is pretty cool except everything you need is up the stairs 😂 it was good to keep the legs moving though!

Beautiful course mostly shaded. It is open to the public so you do have to watch out for walkers, runners, bikers….

Absolutely breathtaking course. Even though I missed the cutoff at mile 34 and wasn’t able to finish I am the most proud of this race. It was HARD! It has very strict cut off times, which probably shouldn’t have been my chosen first 50 miler! A kind of hard you don’t understand until you’re immersed in it. I was absolutely under trained for this race. I would love to go back and do it again.

Beautiful course, with a few easy hills nothing crazy, the crowd support is like none other!! There are pretty much spectators at every point of the race. The blue gold mile is absolutely amazing, music, so many students out cheering you on, high fiving and fist bumping! It’s seriously a rush right before the finish!! The race is by far the best organized they have thought of everything. They have different challenges you can sign up for which I did all of them this year and that was seriously so much fun!! And their race swag is the best plus all the pictures are free!! Most races make you pay for the pics! Well done Eau Claire!!!

It was a beautiful course, with a few easy hills , we crossed the Mississippi River a few times & the race ended in a park. Not a lot of spectators on the course so it was a pretty quiet race. The race was a point to point so we were bused back to the start make sure you know your drop off point. That got a little confusing if you’re not from the area. We didn’t do a drop bag and we wished we would have because it was windy & cool after running. Overall a nice race! My friend got a 3 min PR (picture below) ☺️

Getting to the race was extremely difficult. The 1/2 & full marathon run together if you are going for a BQ or a PR this is not the race. We were constantly weaving in & out of people. We split off for a while but met back up & it was the same thing. Getting to the water stations was difficult. The mile markers were off, even the pacers weren’t sure if they were on pace because nothing added up. I know they changed the starting line this year I don’t know if they forgot to factor that in or what.

This race was a loop, I wasn’t sure how I’d like it but I actually loved it. There was water, trees, beautiful scenery which made it easy to keep running the same loop 😉 it was easy for my husband to pick a spot and hang out for the duration of the race. Great spectators, who started to recognize you & cheered a little louder each time you passed them! It’s a pretty flat course so easy to PR. I used this race as a training run and PR’d ! Thinking of going back to try and BQ qualify!
I’d definitely recommend this race!!

Very well organized race. They pay attention to detail & to what their runners want. The crowd support is absolutely amazing, it doesn’t matter the weather the fans are still out cheering everyone on! There’s music in multiple spots on the course. The aid stations have water & Gatorade plus honey stinger gels are handed out in multiple spots on the course! One aid station is stocked with bananas, oranges, m&ms & I know there was more. The course has country roads, neighborhoods & right down the main drag in the heart of the city. Oh and their swag is by far the best! You actually want to wear it after race day 😉
