I heard about it from another runner and he said, it’s a great race so I registered for the first time. It’s my first race outside Manitoba. This race exceeds my expectations. It’s well organized obviously and the crowd support was overwhelming! The race started at 7 am but I saw a lot of people on the streets cheering and giving high 5s! Lots of water stations so if you were dehydrated it’s your fault! I had lots of fun at the Expo as well, I spun wheels and I won a pair of socks and a cool mug! Not to mention free towels, sunscreen, lip balm and pens 🙂 I write a lot I need it. I find the Free shuttle buses on the the race day very useful especially for out of towners like me. Hassle free and convenient. I also noticed that this race is well supported by the business sector as well like restaurants and hotels. I stayed at Hawthorn suites and there’s a welcome banner for runners and a breakfast for us that starts at 4 AM. I love the shirt! Looks cool and I will wear this to let everyone know that I ran this race:). The medal is the biggest and coolest among my current collection glad my neck was okay because I was wearing it till I got back to my hotel. The design is very Fargo and I like it. My friends were jealous when I showed them my underarmour sack pack too. Of course I can’t complain with the post race snacks! Never had pizza as post race snack in Manitoba and there are a lot more. I ate a lot! The official result will be posted right away the moment you cross the finish line and I love the way it was presented very detailed. I even learned that I passed by 72 runners and I was passed by 10 runners! Makes me feel proud and telling me that I did a great job. Don’t worry if you ran this alone you will still have photos if you are not camera shy because official photographers are waiting for you at the finish line. I actually spotted some along the course as well. The photos were posted the next day. I don’t know how to look good while running so some of my photos are really funny haha! It’s my first time starting and finishing inside a dome and with a big screen so I was very excited ! And the music were lively too especially the “eye of the tiger”. It energized me that’s why I got a new PB lol! Always try to finish strong so You will look good on the big screen and finishing video haha! I did!
Fargo is 3.5 hours drive from Winnipeg if you didn’t encounter any problem at the border! Worth the drive and I will definitely run this again next year but this time I will run it my friends! If they won’t I will still go ha!
