This is my sixth half marathon with Vacation Races. The team never disappoints. Some say this course was challenging, but Antelope Canyon was, by far, the hardest.
The best part of the course? I saw a meteor! And you can’t ask for anything better!

Marathoners started after the half-marathoners in brutal heat. We were on gun time not chip time, so for those of us in the back of the pack, we were screwed. … MORE
Marathoners started after the half-marathoners in brutal heat. We were on gun time not chip time, so for those of us in the back of the pack, we were screwed. Hydration stations became sparse in the last half of the course; I was hosed down with salt water; and there was no shade or ice in 90 degree temps. I DNF’d at mile 22.
Overall a horrible experience for the huge expense to travel from the USA.

This race was on my bucket list from 2021 as part of the Grand Quad. It is not for the faint of heart because of the altitude, but the scenery is breathtaking. My husband and I had an opportunity to visit friends and tour all that the Tetons had to offer including the iconic Ansel Adams photo op site.

This is my second Vacation Races and not to be my last. I am signed up for the Grand Quad and have my eyes set for one of their international destinations. Their productions are the best. I have been happy with their venues and will come back again and again.
