This was my 50th lifetime half marathon! The scenery was beautiful and the weather was good. It started nice and cool but turned warm for the last 3 or 4 miles. I mostly enjoyed the course but it was deceivingly a rolling hills type of course which soon became a challenge for me towards the second half of the race. All in all, turning to the gorgeous views when things got tough helped me complete the race.

I was curious about this 1/2 marathon, at one of my happy places in the world, Solvang. The views and scenary did not disappoint, never really been down deep into the valley. It was spectacular to say the least! The course had many rolling hills, which made it challenging. The hill at mile 12 was the hardest. The difficulty was well worth it though
