This race is under new management and they need to seriously rethink what they are doing. I give them an F for race support. Mile markers thrown down wildly, water stations intermittent in key spots, lots of direction and support in the opening part of the race and almost NONE in the late stages, and especially poor control of traffic on the course. Additionally, so much of this race is on heavily graded roads. Your legs will be shredded by the end from running diagonally so much. And it could be so much better. You have a wonderful lake to work with! What are you thinking sending runners out on a highway, and then a back road where you let cars attack them in both directions?! The lack of support was criminal. They took the $100, gave us a shirt, a medal, a coaster for an age group prize, an apple, a banana, a bottle of water. As for the rest, you might as well have been running on your own (I would have known to support myself better with gels and water if I’d known it would be so sparse or non-existent.) Highly disappointing.
