Amazing course, very scenic! Lots of spectators out cheering you on. It was a bit Hilly especially between .miles 10 to 20, seemed either going up or down a hill. Went through a military base, which was cool! Overall a well organized race, great scenery, great support, I recommend it to any marathon runner!

Easiest course I have done in a marathon, very flat. Good spectators turn out, lots of people cheering you on. Some nice areas of scenery, nothing that is overly memorable though. And a fun finishers area with great live music!

Beautiful natural scenery, beyond that not good. There is next to noone cheering on whole course, nothing at all at finish line besides some banking tents that were flat ot rude to my children because we weren’t from Idaho! And one slice of pizza was all you got at the finish line, which the one volunteer yells on repeat. Nothing else, not sure what my entry fee paid for. Also at the 16ish mile mark you hit the 5 KM course and then you are bundled tightly with these runners for some poor planning reason. So come for the scenery expect nothing else and expect rudness from the few people at the finish line.

The spectators along the course made this an amazing run! Despite it heavily raining on us the entire race (including Thunder and Lightning!!) people still came out and cheered us on throughout the entirety of the race!! I traveled a long way for this race and people embraced me as one of their own! Lots of fun and the whole weekend was a celebration of this race! The only downer was my time was a little slower due to the wet conditions but that is nothing the race organizers can do about acts of God! Overall a great race, I recommend this to any marathon runner no matter where you live to travel to Cincinnati and run the Flying Pig! It has to be a bucket list race!

The second half was non stop hills. Also the views are not good, you are basically running in trees on both sides in the second half and you get no view and fell very closed in and isolated. Apparently due to the difficulty of the second half of the course in 2022 they have changed the route in 2023. There was also only one aid station on the second half, although it is an out and back so you hit it twice, however more aid stations are needed especially in the second half of a marathon. On the bright side the organizers were great about deferring my entry from the canceled race in 2020 and in 2021 the boarder was shut (I am Canadian), and they still deleted to 2022, which I am grateful for!
