The Marines do a WONDERFUL job putting this on! Very well organized! Yes, it is crowded…but it is so worth running it at least once! It is a great race run through Virginia & DC. The weather was perfect this year too!

This was the first half-marathon that I’ve run in over 12 years. The scenery was spectacular! The production was well put together! It was an absolute fun time all around! I PR’d at this great half! I enjoyed the scenery, the fans, the bagpipe player, the piano player, the drummers, the band, the music and the cheerleaders all out on the course! It was absolutely spectacular weather & run very smoothly. It will truly be difficult for me to NOT come back. I am training for the 2025 Boston Marathon and this was an absolute perfect pick to begin my ‘2nd’ racing career, which will take me until I can no longer run. It was a fabulous time and race! I ran the Ocean View Challenge, which made for a perfect weekend! You won’t go wrong running the Monterey Bay Half Marathon! It is fun, a fun course and absolute spectacular scenery!
