They changed the route from the last time I had run this race and this added quite a few steep hills which I was not ready for. Heard a lot … MORE
They changed the route from the last time I had run this race and this added quite a few steep hills which I was not ready for. Heard a lot of comments during the route of disgruntled individuals especially specifically on one particular hill near Fort Sam Houston area.
There were some nice scenic areas though through parks and neighborhoods and enjoyed the part where we ran face to face with runners on a turnaround area, giving high fives, smiles and the “man” nod to those able to participate.
Looking forward to 2021’s and personally just hope they go back to the route they ran in 2014.
