The course was great. If you are a first timer, this is the race for you. Mostly flat with a few small inclines.
Pre race packet pick up the night before would have been nice as the only time to pick up if you’ve already registered was the morning of the race. This posed long lines and a bit of stress right before the start of a race.
Swag was ok. Black dry fit t shirt and a cool race medal.
The weather was nice, definitely glad it started early as the morning progressed it got pretty hot. There was a cool breeze coming off the ocean which was a saving grace.
Post race snacks only included bananas.

Extremely well run production. Swag was great. You received a trucker cap, long sleeve T and a sweatshirt. Everyone running the race was extremely friendly and helpful. The race starts at 10:00 pm, so everyone was geared up in their lighted vests and headlamps. The weather was clear so we could see the clear starry night. At the start line, a shooting star went over the crowd! Make
sure you wear a long sleeve around your waist for after the race, you will probably need it as it gets pretty cool at that hour of the night. Definitely a fun race! Great for all levels of runners. After race snacks were plentiful. We stayed at the lodge in the campground, which was perfect. Shuttle bus brings you to the race and back afterwards. Definitely worth the 11 hour drive. 😊

Definitely not for the first time half marathoner. The views were beautiful. Weather was nice. However check out the elevation map before you commit.
Race advertised donuts at aid stations, they did not have donuts. Just pastries at the finish line. Not a deal breaker…
After running 13.1 miles, we had to trek uphill 1.5 miles even further to get to our car.
Overall, a decent race if you’re up for the elevation.
