Everything about the race was fantastic. The communication prior was very thorough. The shakeout run was really fun- we ran to the finish, which was cool to see prior. The expo was well run with great booths. The swag was great- a performance tee and some cool crew socks. Race day was great. Easy parking, fun start on the bridge by city hall, everything clearly marked. The route went by some beautiful parks, water, neighborhood and of course Quaker Oats. Lots of cheering along the way. Plenty of water stations. The sprinklers and cold towels along they way were very much appreciated. They had pacers for a good variety of paces. The hills from miles 3-5 were no joke. 500 feet of elevation for a half is lot! But it flattened out after that. It was very humid- glad they are moving it up earlier in the year. The after party was a great time. Big Grove burgers and beer and good vibes. Very impressed for an inaugural event!
