Beautiful scenery and (usually) excellent weather. The expo seems to get better and better each year. The after race beer garden was HUGELY expanded this year and on the sand. Excellent entertainment and music. Course is mostly flat with the first 2.8 miles along the beach and the last 4.8 along the beach for the half marathon. There is also an extra 10 miles on the paved part of the beach that is a 5 mile out and back. I look forward to this race every year and am looking forward to next year already. After you have participated three years in a row, you become a “Legacy” runner. You receive a special shirt and a free adult beverage at the expo as well as a special entrance to the beer garden with smaller lines.

The Strip is closed only twice a year; New Year’s Eve and for this race. When will you ever get the chance to run down the Las Vegas Strip at night with all of the hotels lit up? Rock ‘n’ Roll always does a top notch job. The Expo is HUGE, there is excellent live music groups every couple of miles along the route, the post race swag in the exit shoot is awesome, lots of photographers before and after the race to help you remember the wonderful experience, lots of fans lining The Strip cheering for you as you run by, and such a party atmosphere. My favorite weekend of the year. Such a fun time. You. Must. Run. This. Race!!
