This is probably the best course to run as a first race. There are a lot of rolling hills but the downhills are gentle and overall don’t stress the body too much. The course is lined with the best scenery in the world, carefully chosen to go thru 26 miles of vineyards, just soul satisfying scenery. The volunteers and audience along the way is really helpful and cheerful. The water/gatorade stops are plenty and very well placed. The mile markers at every step were very helpful. Everything about the race was amazing. The physical therapy by the Kaiser staff at the end of the race was very well organized. Best race. I finished the race but wish I had a better result 🙁
