I have done several races that cost a fraction of the cost and have had better production, swag bags, and things for the runners when they finish.
Upon finishing the race the 30k runners were offered a medal or tin mug. Then we were told if we wanted both we would have to pay for extra for it. Even though we paid $250 for the race?!!! Absolutely ridiculous. Also they offered cooler ceramic mugs to those they didn’t 50k. AGAIN I paid $250!
Then on top of that there were only two aid stations. The last “3rd station” was only a water filling container. It was by far the easiest place they could have put a station. But they chose not to. But this station was incredibly necessary. AGAIN we paid $250 dollars.
I feel like for the amount we paid we should have gotten a lot of goodies and extras. That races that I have paid a fraction of the cost for hand out and have appropriate number of aid stations.
Pretty run. But extremely disappointing for the amount that was paid.
Not work it and will not be doing it again.
