The Fargo Marathon consists of a week of activities culminating with the Marathon on Saturday. The weather is typically ideal around 55F and overcast. However, North Dakota is notorious for wind, so be prepared to draft. The Underarmor swag bags and big medals are great, and there are runners of numerous skill levels so running alone isn’t something to worry about. The aid stations, bathrooms, and medical locations are standard and the music along the course is quite good. The community really gets behind this race. Improvement: The fastest pacer I think this year was 3:10 or 3:15.
I’d really appreciate a 3:05 pacer, but there were still runners that made a pack at that pace I joined. Hint: when parking at the Fargodome, skip the big line of cars going into the first parking lot and go to the otherside of the Fargodome. There’s no line, which I still don’t get. Happy running
