So as a first timer ever on a marathon, the weather was horrendous. Misty rain and all the trails were filled with mud. There were points where wading through water above your knees was necessary to complete the course. This course is already one of the toughest around and the muddy conditions allowed for no grip, and quite a wild marathon. Toughest thing I have ever done, first marathon ever as a 16 year old. I’m sure its a better course without the conditions I had, but come prepared for a challenge. Wow it was cool to see bison.
