-Beautiful views running along the Atlantic coast
-half the race is on the boardwalk and it isn’t the best maintained. Lots of loose boards and you have to keep your eyes down and watch your step
-Good course management at either end off the boardwalk but on the boardwalk there is a bunch of people walking across the course.
-For being in populated area there was very little crowd support. Most of the time just locals on the boardwalk staring and wondering why you are running around them.
-Course map listed a bunch of entertainment stations on course but there was only 1 live band on the boardwalk.
-Half and full marathon start together and it is a small chute and not organized for a 2,000+ people.
-water and gatorade and 1 or 2 stations had gel packs but no fruit or anything else so bring your own stuff.

-Some of the best swag, wine glass, bottle of wine, drawstring bag, super nice pullover, unique medal, and lots of other quality merch at packet pick up!
-Beautiful scenery as you are either running in between mountain ridges or through small towns
-The race ends in the town of Corning and the town goes all out for the race. It seems like the event of the year there. All the business are catering to the runners and everyone comes out to support.
-Bring layers to the start as they bus you up to the start point and you can be waiting outside in temps in the 40s for at least 45 minutes.
-Stayed at the Radison Hotel which was perfect as it is within walking distance to packet pick up, right where the buses pick you up, and right where the race finishes.

-Beautiful scenery as your start the race at sunrise on Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. Get to run on some trails in a state park through some marshlands, around the WWII tower, and finish back along the beach. Only downside is the last 6-7 miles were on a bike path which was a little anticlimactic. Course is very flat!
-Decent Swag with an awesome stain glass medal, beer glass, hat, but the shirt is poor quality and the lettering on it starting peeling off within a few weeks. Very little marathon specific clothing or gear at the packet pick up.
-Bibs came with your name on them in big font so it was motivating to have all the crowds cheering your name as you ran by
-Very well put together for a smaller race!
Pittsburgh Marathon

-Great starting line organization. You are split into waves and sent out with your pace groups at 2-3 minute intervals. They still launch off fireworks at the start for the first few waves.
-You have an unbelievable amount of crowd support. The course is a giant loop around the city and there are very few spots that the street weren’t lined up with people cheering.
-It is hilly. The first half is relatively flat but Mile 14 is a huge uphill and mile 21 is a huge downhill but they have volunteers who run up or down with you to motivate you which was a nice touch.
-Course is very scenic from crossing a bunch of bridges, going around the Steelers and Pirates stadiums, running through Carnegie Melon’s campus, and really not a bad part of the city to be seen.
-Really great swag! Classy medal, high quality shirt, and a lot of cool merch in a big expo center.
