First-time marathon (did half marathon last year) and I had a blast. Scenery was beautiful. The race is so well organized with stocked water stations, friendly smiles, and lots of encouragement. The town really shows up to support the runners. One hill (mile 20-ish) was really tough and seemed to last forever. Other than that, this is an excellent race for a first time.
