Flat course along the Neris river and through Vingis park. Course goes under 5 bridges and runners cross on 2 more. Flat, relaxed course. This year had about 450 participants across all distances. Not much swag (finishers medal), but only $20 to enter. That seems fair! The 10.64km loop is repeated for the 1/2 and done 4 times for the full marathon. Aid stations every 3 miles or so. If you are in Vilnius in July, I recommend this race!

Last minute change of course meant 3 laps back and forth on Ron Kirk Bridge. The bridge was too narrow for 1500 runners, so it was bumper to bumper all the way! Also, 5k and 10k started and finished at the same place, so at least one was not the correct distance. Really nice t-shirt. Hand painted finisher medal.

The course is a 5.3km loop through Vingas park in Vilnius, Lithuania. You can run 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8 loops, corresponding to 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or full marathon. The course distance is certified.
About 300 participants in 2022. Start and finish area are near a big open air venue, so there is plenty of space. The course is on paved surfaces underneath a beautiful pine, fir and birch forest. The course is well marked, but shared with others in the park. Flat and fast course. Water every 2.5km. Chip timing. Inexpensive race – from 4 -20 Euros, depending on when you register. Commemorative shirt is 15 euro extra.
If you are near Vilnius in August, this is a great race to try. Hope to see you there next year!!

The race starts and ends in Cathedral Square. It is well organized and well attended. It is actually part of a running festival weekend, including a full marathon, half, 10k, 5k and kids run. All the races start at different times.
Even with Covid-19, there were about 5000 participants this year (down from around 10k in previous years). This is the first race where I’ve been required to wear a mask to the starting line and after the race. (they give out medals and face masks!). Route is scenic – first along the Neris river to the forests north of Vilnius. Then back along the other side of the river. The full marathon continues to Vingis park. Both have a short leg through old town before returning to Cathedral Square. Lots of water stops and even medical assistants roving the course on bicycles. Only a small amount of the course is on cobblestones. If you’re in the Baltics – check this one out!

The course is almost all on paved surfaces and is flatter than my sister in law.
Community Beer sponsored the race and provides a free beer at the end!
There is actually some shade on the course.
The bad:
Dallas can be a little hot in August.
There were some long haired California hippies running this year.
Not very much shade.
