    Ironclad Half Marathon

  • I run because:

    It is for my health and I enjoy the competition.  The Ironclad takes place at Kinston, NC.  It is a fast course, mostly flat and is very well organized.  It takes place the 3rd Saturday in October.  The Mother Earth Brewery and motor lodge is the major sponsor.  The finish is inside their baseball stadium before a lot of local folks.  It is THE best half marathon I’ve ever participated in and typically people who run it will return and run it again and again.
