The race was so well organized. Parking was right next to the start line at The Grove. The LAPD had the End of Watch Memorial Wall which was stunning and emotional to see the names of the fallen. There were cadets passing out extra bibs with name of the fallen officers to put on the back of your shirt. The fire department and paramedics were there with a huge flag at one point in the race lifted up on the fire ladders between two fire trucks. Before we entered into Paramount Studios there were two lines of officers cheering us on as we went inside the studio where there was an incredible display of old police cars, ambulances, etc. We were so honored to be a part of this race. We didn’t have the best time because of the picture taking. Can’t wait to show our support and do this race again!!!

The organizers of this race are fantastic. Love them. This was the second year for this race and unfortunately the wind was blowing about 30 MPH which made the race very difficult. It was also challenging with a lot of uphills. The course support was awesome and there were plenty of water stops. Overall, we had a great time and we will do this race every year they put it on!

This race from start to finish had so much energy on the course, there were bands, cheerleaders, incredible water stations, aid stations, bathrooms, gu available, Gatorade available. The weather was perfect, the scenery was outrageously gorgeous and all of the volunteers were so friendly. We can’t wait to go back and do this race again next year !! Loved, loved, loved this race… And there’s so much to do in Monterey. It’s such an incredible little town!!

We participated in this race as members of Team ASPCA…This was the last year the ASPCA was the benefitting charity for this race. They did an amazing job coaching everyone on the team. We even to got to go into Toms Urban at the beginning of the race from 5 am. to 12:00 p.m. It was a fabulous day. Highly recommend this to everyone.

This race was just too large. There were not enough bathrooms and the lines were long. The expo charged $15.00 an hour to park and it was so unorganized. Although it was a wave start, it took 70 mins to start race. The best part of the course was at mile 5 where we came upon about a miles worth of pictures of fallen soldiers and someone holding the flag above each picture. It was moving to stay the least. The post race party was nice. I don’t think I would do this race again. I prefer the smaller, more intimate races.

This was the inaugural race and let me tell you…they did a fabulous job. They crew sent awesome emails keeping everyone informed. It was a small race, lots of uphills and some trails which we loved! We went over Davis Dam which crossed the Arizona and Nevada line. The course support was wonderful. For their inaugural race, they did a fabulous job. So fabulous, we are leaving tomorrow so we can get to Laughlin in time to do thus race again on Saturday, Dec 3!!
