This race was really organized, from start to finish. Bib pick up was easy at one of the host hotels. The only negative of the whole event was the lack of vendors at the expo. There was a local running store there, but that was basically it.
I stayed at a host hotel and so was able to take advantage of a shuttle bus to the start. The start was a park and there were some port of potties and park bathroom facilities.
The race started on time, which I always appreciate. The first few miles went through the park, which was beautiful. There was a short out and back, which I loved because it let me see the fast runners. The scenery changed throughout (through neighborhoods, on a college campus, etc). There wasn’t constant crowd support, but those out were amazing! Also, shout out to the police department who kept us safe and were out in full force. The medal is great and the long sleeved shirt is also really nice. I didn’t stay to hangout after the race, but it looked like there were plenty of food options and it was certainly a festive atmosphere! 10/10 race!
