This is as tough as everyone says. It’s largely self supported do to the remoteness. Bring a filter. Drink early and often since there’s no real water along the ridge line. Views are incredible! We had quite a bit of wildfire smoke but Mount St Helen’s is something else!
And watch out for the Yellowjacket nests.

This race is absolutely a must do! The scenery for the 50/100 milers is next level. Antelope Canton, Horseshoe Bend, Waterholes canyon, Lake Powell… just beautiful! This year we had some very unexpected and unpredictable weather. 10% rain went to 100% for almost the entire race. It created a very muddy trail around Page Rim. This was not something that anyone could do anything about, but a great lesson to make sure you are really training for anything!
