Fast yet punishing course.

First half was steep and fast. The scenery was spectacular.Good traffic control. Made a spectacular 1/2 way point time (1 hour 38 min). Was cool and shaded. From that point … MORE
First half was steep and fast. The scenery was spectacular.Good traffic control. Made a spectacular 1/2 way point time (1 hour 38 min). Was cool and shaded. From that point it seems that there was as much up hill as downhill and I was very sore from the fast downhill. I began to slow at this point. There wasn’t very much police monitoring traffic from this point forward and you had to watch your own ass. The course was next to hwy 66 and there was red cones blocking off right oncoming lane. Cars were moving past fast. Very little police traffic control in city. Got hot as course got closer to end. Got a personal best so i’m happy with my results. Other than lack of traffic control by the fast moving traffic, happy with course. Finishing metal was cool, had a couple coupons in swag bag, gloves, foil blanket.
