There were only a few aid stations, no bananas or other race foods, and just warm water. There was a loop that was not marked and a lot of people missed the turn. This was a very badly organized race and I will not be repeating it. Last time I did a race with this Irecreate company was last year and their race wasn’t marked well either and I ended up running .75 miles more. I do not recommend this race!

There are no awards ceremony, results were online but not posted on a score board, although it’s net downhill the uphill is mostly at the last part of the race which sucks after running more than 10 miles, the race is mostly in a park which sucks because they could have had it go through historic Folsom for more things to see, and, lastly, there weren’t many booths at the finish line to see, which I would have liked since it’s supposed to be a finish line celebration. All in all it wasn’t that bad, this half is definitely less hilly than the SF marathon so it felt good, but the need to readjust the course and make it more racer oriented with more vendors at the finish line and a awards ceremony to celebrate achievements.

I liked the course, had a few hills, but not too steep. The streets were closed off very well and the course took you through some pretty good places in Reno like UNR and the river. Everything was marked very well and you get to run part of the course with the historic journal jog race which is a 8K. The only down side is that the health expo needed more vendors and I wish they did it on the day the packets were handed out and I was disappointed that you had to pay for a shirt and the swag was limited as well.

The first part of the course is a uphill trail with lots of incline, then you go down at around mile 2 then it’s mostly all hill after that. The trail was not marked well and a lot of people got lost. That sucked. I would do it again though but they need to mark the route better and I will train more for the hills.
