I really enjoyed running the 2019 Cowtown Half Marathon. It was my 18th half, first time running in Fort Worth, and I ended up with my 2nd best half time at the end! This is one of the best organized races I’ve run. There was great course support with lots of spectators and well-stocked aid stations. The course itself was rolly throughout, with more uphills toward the end (including a long one just before mile 10), but nothing too brutal. Overall, it was a really enjoyable race that I will definitely do again! I’m even considering it for the full next time!

I really enjoyed this race, and not just because I had my first sub-2 and PR’d by 8 minutes over my half the previous month! It’s a fast, net downhill and that’s hyped up a lot, but it is not without its uphill climbs, which really seemed to start in mile 10 and continue rolling right up through the finish. I liked that they had pacers in 5 minute increments, instead of every 10 minutes. Aid stations were well stocked and there were a lot of spectators along the course pretty much the whole way.
